"I got promoted to director along the way."
Pat came to coaching at the point where a new role in a new market had begun to reveal a gap between who he had been and who he needed to become. The role was not the problem. The way he was relating to it was.
The coaching did not solve the role. It changed the person in the role. And along the way, something none of us had planned for: a promotion to director.
The external result was the promotion. The internal shift was earlier: a change in how Pat showed up in rooms he used to find difficult. The promotion followed naturally from that.
